A diverse group of readers: Jeff Bursey, Kathleen Hamilton, Beth E. Janzen, and Orysia Dawydiak will be reading at the Montague library on June 1st from 2 pm until 4 pm. The event is hosted by The Montague Library Writers Guild. There will be light refreshments and books for sale. I’m looking forward to it! This group (+ Steve Mayoff who unfortunately isn’t able to attend the Montague reading) read in Summerside last January, and had a great time. Prepare to be entertained!

A Poet Laureate among us!

We are all thrilled that Dianne Hicks Morrow has been named PEI’s 5th poet laureate! A quote from Dianne:
In my new role, I plan to build on the excellent work already done by my predecessors…. I believe that a poem can be about anything, and that anyone can write a poem, so I enjoy proving that in workshops and readings. And as a long-time community developer, I look forward to hearing what the Island community wants me to do.
She’s going to do a great job! I’m looking forward to your “reign”, Dianne!
