Kathleen Hamilton, Orysia Dawydiak, and I (Beth Janzen) will be reading in Summerside this Saturday, January 21st at 1:30, along with a couple of really fine guy writers: Steve Mayoff and Jeff Bursey. Check it out by dropping by the LeFurgey Centre at 205 Prince Street, Summerside. It will be an entertaining afternoon with variety in writing styles and genres (poetry, fiction, nonfiction) as well as various yummy edible treats.

Yvette Doucette will be joining PEI’s poet laureate Hugh MacDonald, novelist Jeff Bursey, and two book-launching writers, David Helwig and Chris Benjamin, at UPEI’s faculty lounge on Wednesday, January 11th at 7 pm. Benjamin will be launching his novel Drive-by Saviours, and Helwig will be launching Killing McGee. There will be sweets & hot drinks. There will be peppery prose and juicy poetry. The weather looks cold but no storms are predicted, so you’ve got no excuse for missing this one!
